I woke up at 11 a.m. and Bjoernar and I checked out of the hostel. We put our bags in their luggage room, bought breakfast at a bakery and ate it in the park. We decided that we would rent bikes to go riding in the country again. We rented a tandem bike because we wanted to see what it was like. We returned the bike after about 30 minutes because it was too hard to steer in the countryside. We rented two regular bikes and rode to Dragon Bridge, stopping at various places on the way there to take pictures. Once we arrived at the bridge, we stopped to take pictures and admire the scene. We rode back to the city on the main road and almost didn't make it back on time. The sun was going down and we were supposed to be back by sunset. After we returned the bikes, we ate dinner by the bus station and walked around West street again to buy some more souvenirs. We returned to the hostel to pick up our luggage. We walked back to the bus station, boarded the bus and headed back to Guilin. The bus was so packed that people brought small plastic bucket-type chairs to sit on in the aisle. There were also some foreign deaf people on the bus whom I watched sign to each other. Once we arrived in Guilin, we checked into the same hostel we were in when we first arrived from Chengdu, showered, played cards and headed to bed.
